Now's the time

With guys heating up on the Royals and a struggling Detroit pitching staff coming to town followed by a not-so-good Marlins staff, its time to find out exactly how good the Royals offense can be. Unfortunately 4.5 runs per game may be the peak, but many of the key guys are hot right now.

1. DeJesus has been hot and stayed consistent since coming back from his injury.
2. Grudz has been Grudz all year; steady, consistent, solid but not great
3. Gordon looks like he's really driving the ball again with two homers in the Orioles series. Hopefully he can provide the punch the Royals lineup needs.
4. Guillen has eight hits in his last four games since taking a day off and working on some things with Mike Barnett. Maybe that wasn't just an excuse.
5. Teahen shouldn't bat here and maybe won't, but for the sake of this, he is. He's not doing great, but he's at least getting the occasional line drive.
6. Butler would've had a game tying homerun on Saturday if not for the ridiculous winds and had a ringing double on Sunday, so it looks like he's getting going again and actually driving the ball.
7. Gload sucks as a starter.
8. Buck has a great approach at the plate and is actually really hot right now. Would we be all that upset with a .250/.350/.425 catcher? I think not.
9. Pena

Others:
- Olivo continues to slug lefties pretty well and will see action as DH against them (Robertson and Rogers in the Tigers series)
- Callaspo is going through a bit of a slump, but that's still better than TPJ.
- German actually picked up his 2nd hit of the year, but he's still really struggling for playing time.
- Gathright is fast.

Nothing groundbreaking, but the Royals offense seems to be clicking a bit, now lets hope they can mix together well to score some runs this week.
